So why is a group of pugs called a grumble? We’ve done our research and there doesn’t appear to be any specific origin for this term!

Our best guess is that this term would have come about just listening to a group of pugs together. Pugs tend to make a lot of grumbling, snorting, sniffing, sneezing sounds as they go about their day, which could be construed as grumbling noises – especially if you have more than two pugs in the same place.
